What Amazon PPC management includes
Amazon PPC management is the day-to-day running of your Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns: structure, keywords, bids, budgets and reporting, judged by what each sale earns you. As an Amazon PPC agency, we take that work over and report on it in profit terms, using ACoS and TACoS.
The accounts we audit tend to have the same problems. Auto campaigns bleed into irrelevant search terms, bids ignore real margins, and ACoS is a number nobody connects to the P&L. We rebuild the account into a clean structure, then manage bids, placements and budgets against a target ACoS and TACoS agreed with you.
The service fits established brands doing $500k–$30M a year on Amazon. It works best from about $10k a month in ad spend, and we take on accounts from about $2k a month. If you are new to the channel, start with how Amazon PPC works.
What we manage, ad type by ad type
Sponsored Products
Keyword and product targeting across auto and manual campaigns, split by match type and margin. Converting search terms move into exact match, and bids stay within what each product can afford.
Sponsored Brands and video
Headline and video ads that defend your brand terms and reach shoppers who haven't bought from you yet. We test video hooks and send the traffic to your Brand Store or a product collection.
Sponsored Display
Retargeting of shoppers who viewed your products, plus placements on competitor product pages. We keep only the audiences that convert at your target ACoS.
Search-term harvesting and negatives
Search term reports reviewed on a fixed schedule. Winners get their own campaigns, and terms that spend without selling are negated.
Bids, budgets and placements
Bid, placement and dayparting changes tied to your target ACoS and TACoS, with budget moved toward the products that earn the most per sale.
AMC analytics
Amazon Marketing Cloud analysis of audience overlap, path to purchase and incrementality, so budget decisions use more than last-click data. When DSP fits the account, we plan it from the same budget.

When the listing holds the ads back
Some accounts can't reach a healthy ACoS through bidding alone. If a listing converts poorly, every click costs more than it returns, and lower bids only shrink the traffic. During the audit we check conversion rate, price against competitors, reviews and the main image for each advertised product before we set any targets.
When the listing is the bottleneck, we tell you. The fix usually sits in the copy and keywords (Amazon listing SEO) or in the images and A+ content (creative and content). On our Scaling Share track one team handles advertising, conversion work and images, so the ads and the listing improve together. Brands that want the whole channel run for them choose Scaling Systems, our full account management.
How we charge for Amazon PPC management
Our fee has two parts: a fixed monthly base and a small percentage of the ad sales we manage. You pay Amazon for the clicks directly, so your ad budget and our fee are separate lines on your books. The percentage ties what we earn to your ad sales, which is the result you hired us for.
Exact numbers depend on your account size and scope, and we walk through them on the discovery call. There are no long lock-ins.
The fee covers the account audit and rebuild, daily management of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display, weekly executive summaries, a monthly strategic review and dashboard access to Scaling Pilot.
We take on accounts from about $2k a month in ad spend and do our best work from $10k a month. Below roughly $1,500 a month there usually isn't enough data to optimize, and we'll tell you so on the first call. For what the clicks themselves cost, see how much Amazon PPC costs.
We are an Amazon Ads Verified partner, and we don't promise a fixed ACoS or revenue figure. We agree targets based on your margins and report against them every week. To see where your account stands first, start with a growth plan.
Agency, in-house or software?
There are three common ways to run Amazon PPC, and each suits a different stage of a brand.
| Agency | In-house hire | PPC software | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Base fee plus a share of ad sales | Salary, benefits and tools | Monthly subscription, often priced by ad spend |
| Time to start | About 30 days to audit, rebuild and launch | Months to hire and train | Days, but someone still has to set the rules |
| Depth | A team that sees many accounts and categories | One person's experience | Automated bidding; strategy stays with you |
| Main risk | An agency that optimizes for the wrong metric | The knowledge leaves when the person does | Rules keep running on a weak account structure |
An in-house specialist makes sense when you can keep one person busy on ads full time. Software helps a team that already knows what it is doing. An agency suits brands that want senior people on the account without building the team themselves.

“We tried selling on Amazon ourselves, but it just wasn't working. Scaling Peak came back with a dozen ideas, and Amazon quickly became a reliable source of income. They fully cover our ads and act like a real partner. I'm impressed with the results in such a short time.”

Amazon PPC management FAQ
It covers the full running of your Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns. With us that means an account audit, a rebuilt campaign structure, daily bid and budget changes, search-term harvesting and negatives, weekly executive summaries and a monthly strategic review. AMC analysis is added where the account has enough data.
Our fee is a fixed monthly base plus a small percentage of the ad sales we manage, and it is separate from the ad spend you pay Amazon. Exact numbers depend on your account size and scope, and we walk through them on the discovery call. For what the clicks cost, see how much Amazon PPC costs.
Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands (including video), and Sponsored Display. For larger accounts we also layer in Amazon DSP and use Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) for deeper audience and incrementality analysis.
PPC management pays off when the waste it cuts and the growth it finds outweigh the fee. That starts at about $2k a month in ad spend, and it works best from $10k a month, where there is enough data to test and room to scale. Below roughly $1,500 a month there usually isn't enough data or headroom to make a difference.
Wasted spend and account structure usually improve within the first 30 days. Gains in profit tend to show over 60–90 days, as search-term data builds up and we scale the campaigns that work.
A good ACoS sits below your break-even point, which equals your profit margin before ad costs. A product with a 35% margin breaks even at a 35% ACoS. A launch may run above that for a while on purpose, while a mature product should sit well below it. See what ACoS on Amazon is for the math, or run your numbers in our ACoS calculator.
No. ACoS depends on your price, margin, competition and conversion rate, and several of those sit outside the ad account. We work out a break-even ACoS from your margins, agree a target below it for each product group and report against that target every week. If a target stops making sense, we tell you and reset it.
Every week you get an executive summary with spend, ad sales, ACoS, TACoS and the changes we made. Once a month we hold a strategic review of results against target and the plan for the month ahead. Between reports you can follow the account in Scaling Pilot, our in-house dashboard.
It can. Amazon ranks products partly on sales, so ad sales on a keyword can lift your organic rank for that term over time. That's why we track TACoS and the organic share of sales alongside ACoS: as organic sales grow, the same revenue often needs less ad spend. More on how Amazon ranking works.
Yes, when the account is ready for it. DSP reaches shoppers outside the search results with display, video and streaming TV ads, and it works best once Sponsored Ads already capture search demand well. We plan both from one budget and measure them together in AMC. Details are on our Amazon DSP advertising page.
You get a senior team, a tested campaign structure, daily optimization and AMC analytics, and you get back the hours you now spend in the ad console. Most founders reach a ceiling doing it alone, usually when the catalog and the number of campaigns grow faster than the time they can give them.
