Fifteen of nineteen products could not ship Prime
Prime-eligible ASINs 4 → 19

The challenge
Every product in the catalog contains a lithium battery, which means every product needs a safety data sheet and a test summary filed in the right format before Amazon will accept it into its warehouses. The brand's paperwork existed but had been submitted incompletely years earlier, been rejected, and then quietly worked around: fifteen of nineteen ASINs were sold merchant-fulfilled from a small warehouse with a six-to-eight-day delivery promise.
In a category where the competing product arrives the day after tomorrow, that promise is disqualifying. The listings converted at 4.7%, lost the delivery-date comparison before the shopper read a word of the copy, and were ineligible for the Prime filter — which, like the age filter, does not lower a listing's position so much as remove it from the page.
Our approach
We treated the compliance file as the growth project it actually was.
- Documentation rebuilt from the manufacturer — battery test summaries and safety data sheets in the exact format Amazon's review requires, per model rather than per brand.
- Case-by-case resubmission with tracked responses, instead of one bulk upload that fails silently.
- Packaging and labeling corrected to the hazmat marking requirements, which had been the cause of two earlier rejections.
- Inventory moved into FBA in waves as each ASIN cleared, so the transition did not create a stockout.
The results
All nineteen products are Prime-eligible, the delivery promise went from 6–8 days to 2, and revenue grew 82% in seven months.
Conversion rose 68% on listings whose copy, price and imagery did not change — the shopper is comparing delivery dates before anything else, and the brand had been losing that comparison on every impression. The catalog also became eligible for the Prime filter and for the deal events its merchant-fulfilled listings had never qualified for. This was a paperwork problem that had been costing roughly half the brand's potential revenue for three years.
“It was a documentation task nobody wanted, so it sat on the list for three years. It turned out to be the single biggest thing in the account.”
